Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) summoned influencer Orhan Awatramani, known as Orry, for questioning in the ₹252-crore mephedrone probe. The Orry drug case drew major public attention because of its scale and the high-profile names linked to it.

Earlier this year, authorities found more than 126 kg of mephedrone at a facility in Maharashtra. This discovery revealed a larger trafficking network that moved drugs across states through organised routes. As officers widened the inquiry, they questioned several people, and their work eventually brought Orry’s name into focus.
Why Orry Has Been Summoned
Investigators reviewed statements from one accused who spoke about high-profile parties attended by celebrities and influencers. Orry’s name appeared in this statement. Based on this, the police summoned him to record his version and check whether he had any link—direct or indirect—to the alleged trafficking activities.
Police officials said the summons does not imply guilt. They called Orry only for questioning as they follow every lead in this drug case.

The ANC asked Orry to appear at its Ghatkopar unit. He requested a new date because he is not in the city, and officers will decide the next steps after they record his statement.
